Fun Filled Wednesday

I have a confession to make...I am addicted to Twitter. Yep, there it is...all out in the open now and I can't take it back. I have made some new friends via Twitter, who I will call my tweeps. Two of the tweeps I made today are Loren DiGiorgi and Pat Sajak. Pat is a funny fellow, with a quick wit. His comments will catch you off guard and cause damage to your monitor if you are in the process of taking a drink of soda (or other liquid). He actually plays Wheel of Fortune during the day with his followers, which is fun. I sadly admit that this afternoons game stumped me, which is rare. (Bananas Foster - who knew?) I grew up watching Wheel of Fortune with my dad, and we are very competitive. Maybe that is what started my love of words...hmmm something to think about. My other new friend today, Loren, is a composer. He plays beautiful piano music. I have always loved piano music, and wished that I had the talent to play. I had lessons as a kid, but only a few songs remain in my memor

Treasures on the Internet

Many people who know me, say that I am an internet search wizard. I LOVE Google, and researching is one of my favorite things to do. I can find almost any bit of information on the internet, which amazes and can sometimes scare people. I love to look up history, news, science, people, etc. I can’t imagine where I might have ended up in life, if the internet that we know now, would have been available back when I was growing up. This weeks interesting find is about free ebooks from Planet eBook. Most books available are from well known authors. Planet eBooks statement on their main page is…"All our literature is entirely free for you to download"; and of course I did. I downloaded Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
